OUR MINISTRIES

Rosskeen Free Church is involved in a number of areas of ministry throughout the communities of Invergordon and Alness.  Our fourfold vision is to worship God, to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to serve God by serving each other and our local community and to equip and send workers into the community and beyond.

Our facilities include Rosskeen Free Church itself; an iconic building dating back to 1900, situated on the A9, directly between the towns of Invergordon and Alness and the Capstone Centre; a modern, well appointed facility at the top of Alness High Street.  It is our hope that these facilities will enable us to realise our vision through the ministries we run from them.

Below we highlight just a few of our ongoing ministries.

Foodbank

In partnership with the Trussel Trust and Blythswood, the Highland Foodbank operates out of the Capstone Centre on Tuesday and Friday between 11:00 and 13:00, providing food boxes to those most in need

More details on the Highland Foodbank Project can be found here.

Lunch Club

Lunch Club meets in the Capstone Auditorium every Wednesday during term time at noon.  Guests enjoy a warming bowl of home made soup, followed by tea, coffee and home baking.  The afternoon is usually rounded off with a bit of musical entertainment.

It's a great chance to meet up and spend a couple of hours in the company of friends old and new.

Life Groups

On the first and third Wednesday of every month small groups meet together for Bible study, prayer and fellowship.

Groups meet in peoples homes and in the church hall.  We also have a group who meet in the Capstone Centre on a Tuesday night for those who cannot make Wednesday.

If you would like to be introduced to a life group, please get in touch with your details or speak to one of the Elders.

Road to Recovery

Road to Recovery (R2R) is a Christian programme designed to help those people struggling with addiction.  Whether currently fighting, in recovery or someone who has been affected by the addictions of another, R2R seeks to provide real help and support.

R2R meets in Capstone once a fortnight and often joins up with other R2R groups.  See our events calendar for more details of when the next meeting takes place.

Parent & Toddlers

We run a long standing and very popular toddler group every Tuesday during term time, from 10:00 to 11:45am in the church hall at Achnagarron.

Parents and kids come from all around the area to enjoy it.  There are crafts, songs, healthy snacks and home baking as well as lots of things to play with.  Parents can enjoy a tea or coffee as well as a chance to chat and catch up. For directions,  click the button below.
